Chelsea tops the EPL as South Africa wins and CHAN eagles lose in the CHAN competition

      Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres gave Chelsea the needed goals at Hull City that lifted Chelsea ominously to the top of the Premier League on Saturday which also earned the Blues a fourth consecutive league victory. Mourinho's side have 46 points, one more than second-placed Arsenal who visit Aston Villa on Monday and two ahead of Manchester City who travel to Newcastle United on Sunday.
      After the game he said: "Do we like to be leaders? Yes, we like, but maybe tomorrow we are second and maybe Monday we are third," manager Mourinho told reporters. "The important thing is we all know we are going in the right direction."
       Defending Champions, Manchester United remained in seventh place,got back to their winning ways with a 2-0 defeat of Swansea City at Old Trafford courtesy of Valencia and Danny Welbeck goals in the 47th and 59th minutes respectively after three consecutive defeats. Everton also rose to fourth on the table with 41 points courtesy of a 2-0 home win over Norwich City and Tottenham Hotspur have 40 points in fifth after beating Crystal Palace 2-0 with Christian Eriksen and Defoe giving Spurs the needed 3 points. With Sunderland winning 4-1 at Fulham and West Ham United sinking Cardiff City 2-0, Palace now moves up the table although only six points separate them from 10th-placed Hull.
       Away from England,the CHAN competition kicked off today with South-Africa defeating mozambique 3-1.Diogo scored for Mozambique givimg the fans an early lead in the 11th minute,before Bernard Parker equalised through a penalty awarded to them,giving the home crowd something to celebrate.Hlompho Kekana utilize the opportunitygranted to him, when he struck an absolute screamer from 30-yards out with his left foot to put Gordon Igesund’s side in the lead in the 58th minutes. Parker put the result beyond a doubt with his left-footed drive at the near post from Siphiwe Tshabalala’s ball to beat Soares in goal and secure a crucial 3-1 win.
        However,it didn't go well for the CHAN eagles as they lost to Mali 2-1.Sissoko gave the Malians an early lead in the 18th minute and Traore increasing the tally in the 50th minute.Salami gave Nigerians in what looked like a consolation goal in the 54th minute.The Iranian coach was also spotted watching the CHAN eagles play ahead of their world cup clash. Now the CHAN eagles need to avoid defeat in their next game to secure their place in the tournament.
