Super Eagles begins preparation for World cup as they tackle Scotland in friendly match

    Super Eagles have begun their preparation for the World cup kicking off in on 12 June to 13 July in London. Reports have it that the head coach of the Nigerian team,Stephen Keshi, has led five home-based players to London early this morning, May 25 to start Nigeria's preparation for the football show-piece. Chigozie Agbim, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Ejike Uzoenyi, Kunle Odunlami and Daniel Akpeyi travelled with Stephen Keshi.
    They are expected to make the trip in time to start preparation for the international friendly with Scotland at Fulham's Craven Cottage ground on May 28. Ogenyi Onazi and Efe Ambrose, who were both in the country since last week,will also join the squad before Monday''s deadline for invited players' arrival. The other players are expected to be arrive before May 26, even though some members of the team have already arrived at the team's hotel waiting for the arrival of the coaching crew.
     The NFF, says Nigeria will depart for the United States after the Scotland friendly for more friendly matches arranged for the Super Eagles as Coach Stephen Keshi tries to cut down the 30-man squad to 23 before Fifa's June 2 deadline.
     The Super Eagles will start their 2014 Fifa World Cup campaign when they meet Iran in a Group F game on June 16 in Fortaleza. Argentina and Bosnia- Herzegovina are the other countries in the group.
